Igeching Landscape Architect is developed as an Android application final year project by group of final year students in the Information Systems, Operations Management, and Statistics (ISOM) Department at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. The application is based on the concept of augmented reality, it allows users to capture a photo of their designated location and drag in plants to evaluate its appropriateness according to the user’s desire. Users could get better visualisation of Igeching products’ suitability, how well it fits to users' selected places. Enhanced visualization from the developed application could facilitate users to make better purchasing decisions for Igeching's products. Igeching is a Guang Zhou-based plant retailer company, recently established in April 2014. The company adopts a brick-and-mortar business model where Igeching has a physical store operating in Guang Zhou as well as online. For online, customers can purchase Igeching’s plants through two channels: Igeching’s official website (www.mallgc.com) and Tian Mao 天猫 (aijuqing.tmall.com).
