The Catlin Insurance Telematics app provides those fleets with commercial insurance underwritten by Catlin with an electronic way of providing insurance accident process information. This supports the Catlin FNOL (First Notification of Loss) and claims management processes. Launch features include: •Automatic accident trigger, using the phone sensor functions, to detect a potential accident. •Automatic call routing to our claims management provider(s) for help and assistance. •Manual accident reporting process including accident and third party (if one is involved) information. •Ability to capture multiple pictures with the phone's built in camera. The application will ensure the timely reporting of incidents and relevant information and will provide the claims management team with relevant driving information prior to the incident as well as the severity of the incident. To use the application you need to have a registered Catlin account, and your phone needs to be held within a cradle whilst in your vehicle. The application make use of GPS to capture location data to assist claims handling agents and the accelerometer to capture the severity of any potential accident.
